Greengate Public Realm, Salford

The Greengate Public Realm project involved the re-developement of a
busy but rundown thoroughfare, transforming it to an eye catching
gateway to Salford Quays.

njo was involved in two major areas 1) Linear LED way-markers on the
pedestrian bridge; and 2) RGBW colour change LED fountain lights in the
main water feature (pictured below).

njo worked closely with The Fountain Workshop to provide
36 x RGBW “DLX” series LED fountain lights which illuminate the jets of the fountain.

The Fountain Workshop requested a dedicated “Cool White”
LED channel which was important to the design to show the purity
of water. The RGB component was required  to add flexibility & fun!

The water feature provides a striking backdrop to a professionally
completed public space upgrade, which, at night time, provides
wonderful colour to a once dreary corner of Salford.
